    Professional Personal Guide

Backcountry BC has only proven, successful guides who are in top physical shape. We handle ourselves in the highest professional manner and will “Do What It Takes.”  We are all avid mountain hunters with the skills necessary to perform a safe, successful and fun adventure like no other.

During your trip many pictures will be taken documenting the entire hunt from start to finish. A CD with over 500 Photos will given to you at the end. Other than hunting, photography is a passion of us at Backcountry BC. We take great pride in the quality of our photos and will make sure your hunt will last forever, your Trophy Shots will be out of this world!

    Trophy Care & Shipping

We will cape and flesh your trophies for you. If you want a life size mount, you should talk with your taxidermist about whether they prefer a Dorsal or Standard cut. If you Choose to use our Taxidermists (which we prefer) we have one in BC and Two in the US who are fantastic and fast. They can do your work and have it sent to your door with no hassle.

A Dorsal cut is great for standing and laying animals. A Standard is better for unique or jumping type mounts, if you will be doing a pedestal mount, you will need to let us  know, as more hide is required than just a shoulder mount.

The fleshed and turned hides will be salted or frozen for your return trip. I ask that you bring a pillowcase or similar stuff sack for taking your cape to town. It will keep salt from spilling all over the place.

Your animals have to be inspected when you arrive back into town, and we will see that you get this done properly and that you have the necessary paperwork/permits to take your trophies out of Canada. If you choose to leave your trophy with us we will do everything for you and get it to the taxidermist. He will then call you and ask how you want it mounted. A $500 Deposit for our taxidermy is need for the tanning costs.

If you wish to have you hunt filmed by a professional we do have that option available,  your guide will also video as much as he can of the hunt but his job is to get you your shot. If you want good quality video of the hunt you should hire a camera man to document your hunt.
